Turkey Burger with Lime Pickle

A tasty alternative to your usual beef burger and only £2.30 a portion. Turkey is low in fat and the Indian spice is a lovely twist!


500g Turkey mince

½ Red onion (grated)

1 Garlic clove, crushed

2 Tsp curry powder

2 Sweet potatoes

½ Bunch chopped coriander

1 egg yolk

1 Tbsp sunflower oil

4 burger buns

100g Spinach

Lime pickle or mango chutney to serve

 

 


Add the turkey to a bowl with the onion, garlic, curry powder, egg York and coriander. Use your hands to combine the mixture and shape into 4 equal burgers. The mixture will be quite sticky but that is fine.

Once the sweet potatoes are nearly ready heat oil in a frying pan. Once it is very hot place the burgers in the pan. Turn the burgers so they don’t burn allowing 5 minutes on each side. Toast the buns under the grill.

Once everything is ready add salad to the bun, then top with the burger and lime pickle. Then plate up with the sweet potatoes.
