Rocksalt Bistro – Market Harborough

Market Harborough is lovely but hard to find a restaurant that isn’t a chain. Rocksalt is a fantastic little bistro on the high street. Going in the week it was a little quiet, however I can imagine it filling up at the weekends.

The menu has a selection of seafood and grill dishes. The main courses are slightly more expensive than average, which I think is balanced out by their reasonable starters. It was so difficult to choose as the menu all sounded amazing. A three course meal with a small glass of wine cost just £36 which I felt was fair as the portion sizes were generous.

Hand caught pan seared scallops, BBQ glazed pork belly, sweetcorn chowder, charred corn

Pan fried red mullet fillet, large grilled cervette, mixed seafood linguine, spicy tomato sauce

Espresso, tia maria crème brulee, caramelized coffee beans, chocolate chip shortbread

I would definitely recommend Rocksalt, the staff were really attentive as well. I would probably choose to book at the weekend instead next time.
